The Bereavement Ministry invites you to a special Mass of Remembrance with a candlelight procession to honor those who passed between November 1, 2024, and October 31, 2025. We will prayerfully read the names of all whose funeral liturgies were celebrated at St. John Eudes during this (me. If your loved one passed away within these dates but their funeral was held elsewhere, please contact us so a candle may be prepared in their honor. One family member is welcome to carry a lit candle in the entrance procession— please arrive 20 minutes early to prepare. You may also bring a small photo of your loved one to display during the Mass and take it home aTerward. Our theme: “When Heaven Balances Your Checkbook: How Giving in God’s Kingdom Multiplies Beyond What You Sow.” Guest speaker Rey Vargas, Ph.D. will share an inspiring message on faith, generosity, and divine abundance. This Monday, in honor of Indigenous Peoples' Day, we will celebrate one special Mass at 9:00 AM. Please note that there will be no evening Mass on this day. Let us come together in prayer and reflection, honoring the rich heritage and contributions of Indigenous communities. All are welcome.

St. John Eudes will be hosting a Blood Drive this Sunday, October 12th, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM in Montal Hall. Your donation can help save lives—what a beautiful way to give back to our community. Walk-ins are welcome.

If you enjoy donuts, coffee, and friendly faces after Mass, we’d love to have you in our Hospitality Ministry! It’s a fun and easy way to serve—perfect for families, friends, or anyone who wants to help build community. Service hours are available through Men’s Council events, including our festive Oktoberfest on November 1. Please see the bulletin for more details.

With joyful hearts and deep gratitude, we invite every member of our parish family to take part in With Burning Hearts: Our Love in Motion. This beautiful initiative is essential to the life and mission of St. John Eudes, helping us grow in faith, care, and connection. Your generous commitment will support our parish in becoming more financially independent, creating welcoming and accessible spaces, improving our ability to communicate and serve, and expanding pastoral care for those who need it most. As Scripture reminds us, “All that we have comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand” (1 Chronicles 29:14). Let us respond with love in motion and hearts aflame.

Mark your calendars for a week filled with faith and fellowship! Join us for Forever Grateful’s evening of spiritual enrichment and prayer on Wednesday, October 13th. Then, on October 18th, we welcome youth ages 13–18 to a special Youth Retreat. And don’t miss the ESNE youth and young adult Catholic event “CDJ” on October 19th. When we offer our time to pray, to serve others, or to be present to those in need, this is stewardship. True stewardship is what we have lived as a community at St. John Eudes. Because of your generosity of heart, we are able to bring love into motion. Next weekend is our Commitment Weekend for our stewardship appeal. Please prayerfully consider how you can live God’s transformative work in our community come to life. The commitment you are making for our weekly offering supports specific needs in our parish such as maintaining and improving facilities, technology and communication and pastoral care to the sick, the elderly, the young people and those most vulnerable.
