You’re warmly invited to join us on Monday evenings for our Bible Study series as we reflect on the Gospel of Luke. It’s a meaningful way to grow in faith and deepen our understanding of Scripture together as a community. We meet every Monday at 7 PM in the Parish Hall—all are welcome.

As part of our continued commitment to safeguarding and protecting our children, we will be offering Virtus Training here at the parish on June 23rd and June 25th. We encourage all volunteers who need this training to participate. Please take a moment to review the bulletin for more details.

Next weekend St. John Eudes Parish will celebrate the Feast of Corpus Christi with a special public witness of our faith. At the 5:00 p.m. Vigil Mass on Saturday, we will begin our celebration, followed immediately by a Eucharistic procession through the streets of Chatsworth. After the procession, the Blessed Sacrament will remain exposed overnight for quiet prayer and adoration. All are invited to return at any hour of the night to spend time with the Lord. Our vigil of adoration will conclude with the 7:00 a.m. Mass on Sunday morning. Please join us for this beautiful expression of love for Jesus in the Eucharist and for our community.

Next week is our Guadalupe Pantry Food Drive, sponsored by St. Vincent de Paul. Thank you for your generous hearts — your support truly makes an impact, and we couldn’t do this without you. Please put your faith into action by bringing canned goods, cereals, and other non-perishable items to help stock the pantry and support our neighbors in need. Thank you for your continued love and generosity.

This weekend, we will have a second collection for the Cardinal McIntyre Fund. Since 1951, the Cardinal McIntrye Fund has offered hope for those in crisis situations throughout the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Your contribution goes directly toward providing one-time emergency help for housing, utilities or funeral expenses for the “neediest of the needy”, those for whom no other resources exist. Envelopes are available in the pews of the church. Please write “Cardinal McIntyre Fund” in the memo line if you donate by check. Thank you for your generosity!

Save the date, dear parish family! On June 27 and 28, we’ll gather with grateful hearts to celebrate Fr. Ethan’s 10th anniversary of priesthood — ten beautiful years of his kind, steady, and radiantly joyful presence guiding our community. As part of the celebration, we’re creating a commemorative book, and we’d love to include your stories, memories, or photos. If Fr. Ethan has brightened your life — and he surely has — please share those moments with us.

Throughout May, St. John Eudes School is opening its doors with a smile. Families are invited to come see how your little ones can grow with confidence, curiosity, and a whole lot of heart. Every Wednesday from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m., you can stroll through the classrooms, meet the wonderful community, and get a feel for the joyful rhythm of daily school life. Let’s spread a little kindness together! Every 3rd Sunday of the month, after the 11 a.m. Mass, we gather in Grill Hall to make sandwiches for our neighbors in need — because no one should face hunger alone. It’s fun, family-friendly, and a simple way to share love. We welcome volunteers and donations of sandwich supplies. Check the bulletin for details, and come help us bring kindness all around.

We invite your entire family to the St. John Eudes Summer Carnival — our beloved annual tradition that has long served as a joyful Celebration, uniting our diverse parish and local community in faith, friendship, and fun. This year the carnival returns over Memorial Day weekend, and we are happy to announce that we will once again be open for a fourth day on Monday (Memorial Day). Join us for great food, live music, vibrant folkloric dancing, family-friendly games, and of course the exciting rides that everyone looks forward to each year. Free admission and free parking make it easy to bring the whole crew! Please visit the Carnival table in the plaza today for information and to purchase ride tickets.

Our coffee and donut Sundays will be taking a summer break beginning May 17th and will be back in the fall. We want to thank those who have supported and joined us each week to grow friendship and make our community come alive with Christ-filled encounters, sweetened by donuts, of course! Enjoy your summer and see you back in the fall!

Our ESL Classes (English as a Second Language) continue to grow. We meet every Saturday from 9AM to Noon in Grill Hall A/B and offer four levels of proficiency. All are welcome to join. We recently lost our level 2 teacher when his employer transferred him to North Carolina. We are in need of one additional teacher now. This summer, join Fr. Ethan and members of our community on a transformative Marian pilgrimage. Be drawn to the heart of our Blessed Mother, who always leads us closer to the love of her Son. This prayerful journey will take us through Medjugorje, Lourdes, Fatima, Garabandal, Santiago de Compostela, Lisbon, and other sacred sites where countless pilgrims have encountered grace, healing, and renewal. If you feel the Spirit stirring in you to go deeper this year, consider entering into this beautiful journey of faith with us. See the bulletin for more information.

The joy of the resurrection continues – please join us every Monday for Bible Study as we watch The Chosen together as a community followed by meaningful sharing and reflection. We gather every Monday at 7:15pm in Grill Hall.

SJE Men’s Council invites you to The Annual SJE Wine Tasting Spectacular is coming to Grill Hall on Saturday evening, May 9th. Enjoy an evening of gourmet dinner, unlimited sampling of wines from California and around the world plus live entertainment. Tickets are on sale for $55 per person at the Plaza beginning next Sunday, April 19th. Please see the bulletin for more information.

Ladies, please join us for our Women’s Tea, “A Sisterhood in Bloom,” on April 18th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Parish Hall. Enjoy delicious savory food, tea, uplifting fellowship, and an inspiring talk from guest speaker Emily Wilson Hussem. Tickets are $30 and available after the 9 and 11 a.m. Masses or by emailing [email protected]. All women are warmly invited.

Young people, you too are called to serve in the community of God! In serving at the altar, you will genuinely appreciate the liturgy in worship and service, not to mention journey along with the other young people in the community. Meet new friends or better yet, invite your friends too! Information can be found in the bulletin and don’t delay, training begins on April 23rd. See you there!
